Cryostasis is a first-person survival horror game developed by the Russian studio Action Forms and released in 2008. Set in a chilling Arctic environment aboard a ghost ship, the game immerses players in a narrative filled with atmospheric tension and psychological elements. Players take on the role of Alexander Nesterov, a soldier who discovers the vessel "North Wind," which is frozen in the ice and seemingly abandoned. The gameplay features a unique mechanic called "Psycho-Physical" interactions, where players can manipulate their surroundings by delving into the memories of the deceased crew members.
