A lone detective sits in his office, one of millions of common men and women living in crumbling cities of neon, steel, and concrete. High above, the rich live in splendor, free of torrential rains or the danger of cyber thugs ripping you apart as you cross the street. The detective is not yet aware that he's about to take on a case that will change his life - and make him wonder whether some things are better left buried. Welcome to the world of DeTechtive 2112, noir cyberpunk adventure. Sneak, shoot, and investigate your way to find out the truth, while trying to survive in a brutal future where life is cheap, everything is for sale, and nothing is quite like it seems. Life is Hard Each case will bring you closer to the truth, taking you everywhere from the seedy underbelly of the city and districts where if you hit a red light, you don't stop, to the affluent enclaves of the rich, clad in marble and gold. Stealth will be necessary to survive. Employ an arsenal of tricks and tools to get through. Put foes to sleep, disable cameras, crawl through ventilation shafts, or use distractions to bend others to your will. Life is Cheap You can always arm yourself at the nearest gun shop or switch flesh for metal at your local cyber clinic. Stealth becomes optional when you carry a military-grade assault rifle under your coat - or can tear it off to let your synthetic, augmented muscles crush your enemies' heads and rip them apart limb from limb. Of course, your clients might not appreciate such bloodshed on a rudimentary recon job into an upper class community... Life is Not What It Seems Whether you use stealth, employ violence, or go down the route of a pacifist (inspired by luminaries of the genre), experience a complex story of betrayal, family, and personal demons, in a world where nothing can be judged by the book. Just as the detective's trenchcoat can hide a cybernetic powerhouse with a battalion's worth of firepower, what he thinks is obvious may turn out to be anything but.
